About

Be humble and respectful, that’s the best way to adopt. You are the foreigner here. Be politely curious, try new things and learn from your experiences, in good and in bad. But don’t be stupid, be streetwise, even when you least expect you should be.

As long as I remember, I have been a supporter of human rights for all on this planet. I don’t make a fuss about it but I just don’t see anything good in any kind of discrimination, and I think this world is wonderful as it is with so many different cultures and people, as long as those people are kind hearted. I’m interested in different cultures, curious about what makes people what they are. I try to take things as they come without judging or criticising too much, keeping in mind that there is always so much that I don’t know about.

I feel lucky to have this attitude, because it helps tremendously when establishing a life in a place that has nothing in common with your own social context.

When a person moves from one side of the world (Finnish woods) to another (Metro Manila) and wants to succeed in everyday life, it’s worth keeping your eyes and ears wide open to grasp as much as you can from the new culture. I take it as an exciting journey to something new to learn. I will try to share some of my moments and feelings in this blog.

Hope you will enjoy it!
